It seems like forever since I could go enjoy a Saturday out with my family and not be stressed out. If you are new to my blog or my life, you may not be so aware of the mayhem that has ensued the past year but don’t worry, you’ll learn soon enough. I’m all about sharing my stories to help others out.
Anyway, back to the point. I finally enjoyed a quiet yet fun adventure out to the apple farm with my ever so understanding husband and my two kiddos. We made our way out to Sherwood, OR to Oregon Heritage Farms to drink some apple cider slushies and hang out with some goats. It’s September and my urge for Fall is at an all time high so regardless of the 95 degree whether, I was getting some damn fall farm action!
Oregon Heritage Farms is a super cute, quaint, family-owned apple farm just outside of the city. With an apple shaped bounce house and overflowing cider in apple sippy cups, my kids were in heaven. We jumped, ran through a maze, got sugar high on caramel apples, and in the end had very sticky fingers and happy hearts.
Life has been a serious state of mayhem the past year as my husband was gone for four months for work and working crazy hours when home and I worked my way through my last year of college. It hasn’t been easy and let’s be real, I have been a mess. Having the constant support and love from my family is what got me through and finally being able to go spend some time, playing and giggling, with nothing on my mind but them was amazing.
Trust me, I know how hard it can be to see the light sometimes. With negative energy, stress, and a lack of confidence, life seems really hard. You’re not alone in that. Try and remember, though, take some time for you. Whether that be meditating, driving out to the beach, spending the day with friends or your family, whatever – be sure to take that time. You deserve it!
Find that beauty, guys. It’s there. I promise.
